You and your son would have a great time out fishing on Hobie Island, Nice to see how long the Bixy will run with the weight of the Islander and two people, I was in Dunnellon Florida fishing on the rainbow and Withlacoochee River in Nov for two weeks, fishing Largemouth, Bluegill, But also caught a lot of Bowfin.

Alex, we know you're the flip master, but you'll never flip, that kayak. Even with one out rigger, they're very stable, and fast. And with the sail up and the bixpy, that kayak would be extremely fast in open water. People that own those, usually run the 2.5 Suzuki on a side mount, behind the seat. That kayak is beautiful, nice video bro!! 🙏 🎣

That is a fast boat. Fishing kayaks are stable but it would be a great feeling to have the outriggers and know it would be nearly impossible to flip!

Great to see that you enjoyed.
The thing is that all hobbies are very expensive 😳 aaaand on a addition of that electric unit will eventually kill the chance to buy one.
What I also like to mention is the fact that if you sail ⛵ a bit faster and hit some waves, you will sit all day long with your behind in a water puddle.
This was exactly my reason to not go this route. It all go worse in cold weather. Sailing a hobie is not enjoyable due the cramped seating position at all. There are much better options available.
Way less expensive but extremely more fun for days on the water.
For those who don't mind, the hobbies with the brix is surely something.
For those who simply don't want compromise so much, this is definitely not the right choice.

I started searching you tube and hobie years ago for a decent way to Mount a troller. I gave up. Just fasted some kind of board and clamp it on. Seems like there really isn’t much of a market for it and I’m not shelling out more than a few hundred dollars.
