That is not bmws new logo….it’s the 50th anniversary M exclusive badges only for 2022-2023 models. I own this vehicle and I was told by the bmw genius consultant (as they call them) these special anniversary edition retro badges had very limited production and will only be available to owners of the 2022-2023 M vehicles in the event of collision repair and only available through dealer with VIN verification. Not sure but this 50th anniversary edition and special badging may be a positive value influencing factor down the road. I traded in my 2020 x7 special order for the x5 comp and I couldn’t be happier. It’s pure perfection in every way and truely exhilarating to drive. It’s a fly below the radar suv with a sleeper 617hp race car engine because…..it’s fun to have that kind of power even if you don’t need to use it everyday.

My wife has the regular X5 with executive package, M Sport brakes, etc and it actually has about 95% of what this car has. Minus the V8 of course...but the TT inline 6 is super peppy as well and in sport mode the transmission performs just like the M model. Bought it used for a little under 50k...just in case anyone wants this car in the video but it's outside of your price range, regular X5 40i is phenomenal as well.

Any idea if there is going to be an interior upgrade next year, like the x7

I passed on the X5M because the lower cushion seat bolsters were too high and hard. I’m only 180 pounds and I couldn’t shift in the seat at all. Bought a 23 Range Rover instead. Pissed at BMW for putting more aggressive seats in the X5M than the M5 and M3. Why BMW?

How does this compare to the Jaguar F-Pace SVR you reviewed

Own a 22 X5M50. ONLY reason it’s not an MComp is because I live in the NE and don’t want to deal with snow tires.

Hey ben, sup
Ive been following your vids for a while specifically on beemers, i drive an old 2004 X5 nd to me its good enough, meaning (its what i can afford for now )nd to actually have a n x5 m comp, would be 🥳 but it is what it is, any who, if u happen to have any sort of give away events like some of the others channels do, i would really really like to get in on that nd maybe my luck would give me a break with one of those while im still alive,
Like your reviews nd all the best

I love the X5M comp but until we find out about the Purosangue or Urus performante, the best performance SUV on the planet is the Cayenne turbo GT.

Not hating, but seeing you redline a brand new M car hurts. BMW has VERY strict break in procedures for the M cars and redlining them before the break in oil change will do damage. There’s a good video out there where a BMW tech explains it.

Take it easy on any brand new performance vehicle until broken in.

Good review otherwise!

To be fair, this question should be asked at 100k miles.

Go through the car and its features before you shoot the video so that you know what you're presenting to us and practice it a few times.

You seem too distracted by shiny things. Not enough solid info and not enough of your own opinion on anything that matters other than saying things like "nifty, " "spiffy, " etc.

Without any incentives and deals on these BMWs, they are about 20-30% too expensive. It’s a great vehicle, but $126K…..probably why it is sitting. BMW leases were historically very good, not anymore. I also think that BMW needs to differentiate the interiors better on their more expensive vehicles. A lot of it looks just like my 2021 M340, that I negotiated and got out the door for $55K in late November of 2020 (before peak automotive inflation hit).

I owned a 2020 X5M the exact same configure of the car shown in this video, the suspension is the worst suspension I have ever felt! and it was the only reason I got rid of the car and made a big loss on it! an otherwise PERFECT SUV, ruined by its abysmal suspension, if someone wants a specific track car they will not buy a huge SUV they would buy a M3 or M2 or.... this is for someone who wants the performance the prestige of the M logo and the amazing looks, they should have compromised a little on the ride becuase at the end of the day this is going to be drivin 99% on road not the track, I have driven a URUS has way better ride quality even the M5 has much better ride! its a shame

Can’t believe this is over 50k more than my own new x5 s40i that’s fully loaded and has the m sport. It’s the least expensive of the super SUVs but I’m fine with my regular X5
