There are several questions about the software on the phones. The Phone 12 Pro Max is on iOS 14.4.2 and the OnePlus 9 Pro is on Oxygen OS 11.2.2.2.LE15AA which was released on Apr. 2, 2021.

Every comparison needs to state whether you applied the latest update to the OnePlus. It's a newer device, and clearly OnePlus is pushing out updates, probably because they knew on announcement day that the cameras suck.

The oneplus pics looks more sharp but not over-sharped. A sharp image without halo can't be called oversharping.

u measure dynamic range based on the color of the bridge? really!?… take a look the left side of the image from 1:50- 1: 59 and the image in 3:38 and tell me the iPhone has better dynamic u guys are severely biased toward the iPhone and this the second time!...

OP9 pro was a valiant effort from OP, but as all of their "flagships" tend to do, they just barely miss the mark of achieving that "greatness" from the likes of well established brands like Samsung or Apple does. Which is sad, but here's to hoping for next year when the Hasselblad co-engineering pays off.
