Endless Summer by Ben Potter (the potato bit)
Walk by Cushy (background music throughout the whole video)

Fun fact, and since it's such a unique creature it was easy to find more than one interesting facts:
Marimo moss balls are considered a national treasure in Japan.
Due to their popularity and the impact of tourists, conservation efforts have been implemented to protect Marimo in their natural habitats, particularly in Lake Akan, Japan.
Marimo moss balls grow very slowly, at a rate of about 5 millimeters per year.

I'm posting this video to gauge the reception for this style and narration. Either way I only plan to have such videos occasionally, when it's needed. I'm happy with the timelapse+background music time lapses, the ones I usually make. Only reason I'm trying to branch out a bit into this direction is, because with narration I will be able to show a bit more. Some time lapses are just not fit for 3 minute long videos with just music and editing. Some are uneditable in a way that would fit a 2-3 min video. No one would watch a 2 minute video where the only thing happens is bubbles coming up. It needs more. But if I make the video shorter than 2-3 minutes, let's say 1 min, or 40 seconds the low watch time (short videos have low watch time), will stop its spread, because youtube will think it's bad and not worth recommending. Roughly 85% of you subscribed to my channel through long-form videos and are not really keen on shorts. So, just let me know, I need some feedback on this one. :) Thankssss!

The narration was great with good explanations, the only problem for me was the AI voice. For me AI voice usually means cheap channel that only steals content and has bad reputation. I would suggest trying your own voice reading your narration or paying someone else to read your scripts. But all of these are on my side of view, others might be ok with it.

i would definitely prefer a (more) human voice, but this is a good start!

New style is great. I think you’re audience is the curious learning type, so don’t be afraid of going in depth on your subjects. Big potential here.

Am I the only one who haven't heard about marimos before?

I had never heard of marimo before. The voiceover was really interesting! I thought it was well done and will be a nice addition to your standard repertoire.

I like this narrative format, and I also like your videos with just music. Do whatever you like and I'm sure to love it. 👍

Marimo moss balls are quite common in the aquarium hobby. It's a nice addition in a planted tank 🌿

This new style is so incredibly interesting. Showing one of these plant balls giving off oxygen in a time lapse is wild! Showing things we never really think about in time lapses is awesome. Great shut dude. Keep it up!!

I will never not be fascinated by your videos, and narration just lets you add your personality into the mix so no complaints here :)

I enjoy your videos and this one was a breath of fresh air (pun intended) compared to your regular content. I learned something new and that's always a plus. Wish I could give you 👍👍👍👍👍 I vote YES to more like this.

You're doing me a great favor, man. I'm taking ESL right now, so script and narrating will help me a lot. Ty

I actually really enjoyed the narration! Also this was an interesting subject.

Also I really didn't notice the voice was AI until I read the comments but if you start recording your own voice it would have a bit more of a connection with the audience but I don't really mind the AI voice if it's more comfortable for you!

The AI voice threw me off. The standard American accent with the non-native grammar has developed a reputation on the web as lazy/incorrect content, and I immediately skip such content in general.

Some examples in this video:
-“give bit of explanation” should be “give a bit of explanation”
-“know everything I’m going to tell” should either be “tell you” or just “say”
-“every 2 6 weeks” should be “every 2 to 6 weeks”
