The Day I Tried to Live: A Tribute to Chris Cornell

This is my attempt to say "thank you" to probably my greatest musical hero. What an incredible inspiration... A haunting yet comforting voice... Songwriting that feels familiar even when the music is twisting and turning in ways that only Chris Cornell could have conceived.

This acoustic version of one of my favorite Soundgarden songs has been posted as I pause on this day: May 18th, 2019 - Two years since his death. Rest in Peace, Chris Cornell.

Everyone talks about the voice, but the guitar arrangement was brilliant! It gave all the life a song like this would need. No need for electric guitars at all. Amazing job.

Beautiful. I got the chance to see Chris Cornell perform over 40 times since 2009 Soundgarden 3x. His voice and his lyrics just spoke to me as being so Fu*king real. Hearing him at live show especially the acoustic shows was just live changing. My heart broke the day I heard the news of his passing especially since I’ve lost two of my brothers to suicide. I felt deeply sad for his kids and wife. I have had my own struggles with depression, but my lovely wife and kids and being self aware of my issues keeps me rowing 🚣‍♀️ along. Keep up that great work, I don’t sing but enjoy watching your videos.
