Use caution when installing a kickstand on any bike. Use the least amount of force necessary to keep it from moving around or coming loose. Watch what you're doing while you're tightening the bolt. Some people use cloth bar tape or sections of old thin road tire or rubber tubing between the kickstand plates and the stays. This can help keep the kickstand from wiggling around, reducing the amount of torque necessary to keep it in place.

Hi, when i installed my kickstand, whenever i use it, and put the kickstand down, the kickstand shifts. I did tighten the bolt but it just keeps on shifting whenever i kick it down. How do i fix that problem?

Ouch think i installed wrongly - so it's better nearer to pedals as opposed to the rear axle then? I did the latter and the bike can stand but is a tad wobbly!

I have a question you guys have or know anyone who have a kickstand for GAINT MOUNTIAN BIKE full suspinion because all bike shops i went to they said no one can install a kickstand on it its small size GIANT STANCE mountain bike

Bicycle geometry is very simple engineering... Or should I say, not simple...

The guy from the video does not know much about bicycles (although, he is good at tightening bolts)... Especially, I am sure that he has never heard about damaged/crushed chainstays! Otherwise he would have commented that if you tighten the kickstand’s clamp bolt too much, or, if you leave it too loose you can crush the chainstays!
