I suspect the div will be lower. There has been so much negativity around SCHD lately, that I think a lot of people sold during the quarter. If people sold SCHD after some of the holdings' ex-div dates but before the SCHD ex-div, then the fund collects the dividend for all of each holding's shares, but then will distribute them to fewer fund shares.

(If someone knows where to find the history of number of shares outstanding, we could prove or disprove this theory.)

I do own SCHD, and I'm willing to guess September's dividend payment will be around .68¢, which I would be fine with.

BIG FAN of your channel, but I don't own SCHD. IMO, Alot more options out there. Market at record highs and the lack of capital appreciation IMO isn't worth a 3 1/2 % dividend.

Keep up the great content and congrats on the 250K! In your taxable. 👍💰💰💰💰💰💰💰

Purchasing a stock may seem straightforward, but selecting the correct stock without a proven strategy can be exceedingly challenging. I've been working on expanding my $210K portfolio for a while, and my primary obstacle is the lack of clear entry and exit strategies. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
