This 8 channel mix production controller offers tactile DAW control. We tried it out with Pro Tools as well as Studio One and Logic Pro X.

I really appreciate that this video also includes the cons, unlike other companies who focus on the pros only.

Thanks for doing this review it's great, very informative. Really nice to see the FP8 running in HUI mode in PT. I've been looking for a controller for PT for some time now but don't want to spend the money on an Avid Eucon controller like the Artist Mix for example. The Faderport 8 looks like a real contender. Which firmware version were you using in the video? I wonder if there is an update to fix the transport issue with the play pause control.

Just curious if I can do this. I have three tracks, one for omnisphere, one for swams sax, and one with swams violin. I have one Roli Seaboard. What pad controller device do I need to purchase to change tracks in a live performance between the roli keyboard and my laptop using Studio One 3 without touching the laptop. I have purchased No Maschine Mk 2 but am not sure I can designate 3 pads from Maschine 2 to the 3 tracks on Studio One 3. I just want to have pads from a midi instrument like roli keyboard to interchange tracks when in a live setting. Would Faderport 8 handle this? Prefer to use this to control SOLO instruments while using drum and base loops non controlled by a fader but just controlled on play button to run those tracks as set on Studio One 3.

I have the Faderport with the single fader. I know it can be used to write volume automation with the motorized fader, but can it write automation for sends? I'm using Logic Pro X and I'm trying to control the volume of the send on my Snare Channel Strip to an Aux send with Reverb on it.
