It's funny to think about Nurgle's realm, because the whole place is so highly teeming with life that the ocean is rotting. It's quite literally a different understanding of life and how it should exist.

I once was dm'ing a game of dnd and some of the most important chapters were "the 60 aspects" and thier leader shi all of them different aspects of death.

My players would hop around from world to world encountering these aspects, some very cruel people others kind in how they delivered the final blow upon thier victims.

However shi was an interesting case, his main way of conducting death was spreading disease with his war scythe.

Anyhow this campaign was an island hopping campaign but instead of islands they were different planes of reality, encountering planeswalkers and the aforementioned aspects roaming about the universes.

As a sort of joke I included 40k as a universe but didn't expect my players to actually go (they don't know what 40k is)

So as my players entered the plane of Warhammer 40k i rolled to see where they ended up. Would it be an imperal hive city? Maybe and agi-world? NOPE they end up in the garden of nurgle.

1 month and like 5 sessions later, they are able to make it all the way through the garden. And guess who is there having tea with nurgle discussing different diseases?

It was shi! The look of surprise on my players faces when they saw the biggest enemy in the entire campaign casually having tea with the God of death whilst being served by an Eldar goddess was absolutely priceless.

Shi then politely asked if they could leave and when they refused he sent them spiraling back into the blind eternities until they hit another orb. Honestly one of the best campaigns I've ever run.
