Hey Everyone!
Sorry the video was a little later than usual, I was making some last minute changes. Also, for those of you who use the subtitles, it will take a bit of time for them to be ready given the last minute upload. Thank you for your patience.
I Hope you all enjoy the analysis, I had to cut down a lot of what I filmed because it was getting very long so you might notice i skipped over a few things we've talked about a lot in other videos (like one-sided shoulder shrugs and mouth shrugs) but I am very happy with the things I did cover on this, I think there was a lot of great subtleties to the words he was choosing.
Enjoy 🤗!

Hes not sorry for what he did, he's sorry he got caught and called out for it.

Dan’s behavior with children and adult women is disgusting. He’s sorry because he was called out . He should name names with his apologies, instead of blanket apologies.

"This guy made a life writing kids TV shows and he seems to know nothing about children."
Best summary I've heard of this entire situation.

Ryan Reynolds has said that he doesn't want his children to be child actors like he was. When the talk show host asked why he said he "[doesn't] approve of child abuse."

When Dan said that a therapist should be on set to talk to the kids about if they really want to be famous, it sounded like his presupposition was that if kids want to be famous, they will have to encounter what was happening on set. And if they can’t handle that, they need to choose not to be famous. I don’t think Dan meant to let that out in his response but I think he slipped up and said it.

I had to pause the video to address the line of adult jokes in kid movies. What stood out to me instantly using Ratatouille as the example is that the characters are adults. When I’m watching a kids movie and the adult characters make a reference or joke, it’s funny and relatable because you’re seeing the adult character doing/thinking like adults. It is ALWAYS awkward and inappropriate when a child is the one saying or referencing an adult comment/situation. It doesn’t match in our minds and I think that’s what creates that discomfort.

The moment his voice breaks, just before a fake cry, my immidiate thought was "oh boy, here we go (eye roll)". You can litterally count 3... 2...1.... Scene. That "emotion" came and went as if it never was there. And you are right Spidey - Mr. Bell's emotions in the docu-series were so heart breaking that you can't help but cry with him too.

I love how in this entire interview, harassment and almost criminal behaviour is minimized to "I wasn't always the nicest guy." Nobody's expecting a producer, writer, director or creator to be the second coming. They expect that he or she will act like a professional and focus on the job in accordance with the law and company policy. You don't have to be a "nice guy" to not harass someone. These aren't your friends. They're co-workers and employees. You don't have to start chatting about your private lives. Just use common sense. "I was immature." That's not immaturity. That's harassment.

I’m sorry but you cannot convince me that any of the shots they showed of Ariana Grande were “made for a kid audience because kids find them funny.” I was a kid at that time and I did not find them funny. I found them to be very uncomfortable.

I noticed "I snapped at people, I got snarky" was also a deflection: Nobody cares if he snapped at people, though acting that way around children is a separate issue. It's the sexual harassment and covering for pedophiles we're worried about.

Thank you for not sharing the inappropriate videos of the kids. I didn't think they should be seen again and again.

YOU ARE RIGHT!!!! I met Dan at 10 (and his producing partner who very markedly creeped me out..at TEN YEARS OLD) What ppl are saying about him is true. Those inappropriate kids scenes were inside jokes amongst grown men with a Frat boy mentality serving their egos rather than protecting the fragile self worth and safety of children. He should be ashamed of himself (and he isn’t...)

"I hate that anybody who worked for me didn't have a good time (13:45)." Emmy award winning minimization comment.

Thank you for not adding the inappropriate footage of those children from the original shows. I also found it incredibly distasteful and exploitative that they re-aired those clips. Class act on your part.

When you said "what? do you want a cookie?' The frustration was next level. That was so loud because you are always so calm in your videos. Thank you for your humanity in the ways you review these things

As someone who is healing from narcissistic relationships... this scumbag pisses me off. It's all so obvious when you’ve been through it (and have healed enough to recognize it).

He is a TEXTBOOK example of a narcissistic sociopath. He doesn't take true ownership or accountability for a single thing and shows absolutely no remorse. He has learned how to dance around the issues and pass the blame.

Dan has deeply damaged so many peoples lives... if he truly understood even half of the trauma he has caused- he would need years of therapy and healing to process it all.

The way he pretended to cry about helping Drake Bell's mother tells me all I need to know about this man. He's a full on manipulator that doesn't feel bad for anything he's done. I think he's actually pissed off that these people had the temerity to call him out. This has been a known thing for years. I first heard about it over 5 years ago from a YouTube video. Yet Schneider waited until this big production to address it because he thought it would just fly under the radar. Some of the scenes I've seen look exactly like they were written by a child predator for other child predators and a softball interview that seems almost scripted isn't going to convince me otherwise. This dude has a ton of darkness in him and he spread that darkness around and traumatized too many people. The really sad part is that he's not the first, he won't be the last and it seems that those who mistreat others are the ones who truly thrive in Hollywood.

Yep Spidey you are right on the money. In the Doc when Drakes dad started crying, it broke me. I could feel his grief through the screen. When Dan pulled a sad face/voice crack I literally blurted out "what are you doing?" 😂 Also the fact Dan felt the need to reiterate that Drake acknowledged him positively just rubbed me wrong :/

He believes a therapist should be on set to help the child deal with bad adult behavior, because clearly it's the child that has the problem. He still does not believe he has a problem. I feel sad for this man.
