I warn ya, those red ones are a real sharp heat. Green has a bit more flavor to heat ratio.

I normally buy then in jar from the shop diced ..grew some this year with a load of other chilli peppers just tried one ..never tasted a jalapeno that hot still cant feel my tounge 😂🇬🇧

My current jalapeños are only about 2 1/2” long, seem to be growing very slow.

If you pick too early it may be bitter and the walls may be thin… so I would recommend at the very least not to pick a pepper early! And if you want to try it out pick one early and give it a taste!
