You have probably found the most expensive stuff, the smoothie, and the ice cream was really expensive, and even the beer! you could have got most of them for 100 forint! So yeah, but its deffinetly affordable for you guys!

I loved my visit to Budapest in April. Stayed at Hotel Gellert for only $46 (USD) which includes access to St.Gellert Thermal Baths! Budapest was wicked cheap! Its so beautiful you can spend all day walking around without getting bored. Then took EasyJet to London for barely $100! Our vacation money goes so much farther in Europe than it does in US, especially overpriced NYC. If you can afford to visit NYC then you can afford triple the time in Budapest!

Went to Budapest last year for the Sziget festival and I fell in love with the city. I thought Edinburgh was my favourite city but wow there was something about Budapest and it’s people that I couldn’t get enough of. Planning on taking my girlfriend next summer for her first trip to Europe considering how affordable and beautiful it is. If anyone is interested in travelling to Europe, I’d say Budapest is a city that tops places like Paris, London, and Berlin

Budapest is an amazing city. I paid like €50 for a junior suite at a 4 star hotel last October, so it's super cheap too.

Sounds good when you say one dollar for a beer or 29$ for a night but don't forget the paycheck is not the same like in the US. There is a lot of people who get 80 000 Huf per month what is 295$. So if you have 295$ for a month, the 1$ for a beer not too good.

I love Budapest beautiful city. I am Hungarian live in Canada, you can be rich here converting Canadian dollar to Hungarian like US to Canadian. Goods are cheapto buy and staying in a hostel. Excellent Hotels, Restaurants, cafes, nightclubs, casinosand more place. Hungarians are friendly. Hungary is a beautiful country with the SzigetFestival opening in mid summer largest rock festival in Europe. Lake Balaton is a good place to travel and stay at cottage. Szeged a wonderful city. love Hungary.
