Israel-Hamas: Thousands fill Yemen, Lebanon streets in 'rally of anger' after Haniyeh's death

Thousands of protesters attended rally's in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa and in Sidon, Lebanon on Friday to show solidarity with Gazans and to denounce the recent deaths of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah senior military commander Fuad Shukr.

In what Hamas has called a “day of furious rage,” the protesters chanted slogans condemning Israel and the United States, with many waving Palestinian flags and holding up posters of Haniyeh and Shukr.

"Our rally today is a rally of anger, a rally of vengeance, a rally of anguish, a rally of pain," said Houthi activist Hatim al-Meqabi.

"There are 1,000 Haniyehs, there are 1,000 leaders, there are 1,000 fighters who will lead this movement and lead these fighters," said Yemeni Ahmad Zabara.
