This is not restoration - this is cheating as the tyre has already lost its most of life & it is further weakened by this re groving on already worn out tyre. They are not making the tyre new but befooling the people. Don't risk your lives by using these duplicate & reconditioned second hand tyres.

In Balkan we also reuse old tyre's, we put dirt in them and plant flowers or we build tyre swing for the kids it's much safer don't you think 🙈

You do understand this is incredibly dangerous. Your not "restoring" anything, your weakening the rubber which I'm guessing the lucky owner will find out about as soon as they hit about 50mph and their tires all explode.

EDIT: Guys I'm not picking on anyone or trying to belittle people dealing with poverty but this is criminal. I worked at America's tire co and have had LOTS of experience racing and rock crawling and have gone through hundreds of tires myself.

There's isn't a single tire company that states removing tread BELOW the wear line is safe. You create weak points that pressure and heat will exploit.

And these guys aren't selling these tires as used they're selling them as new tires! That's a dirty trick!

If one of you can give me an example of ONE company that states this is ok for highway use and safe without voiding the warranty I'll give you a set of 35" toyos off my bronco!

While the added threads is good for a little extra tire life, the thickness of the tire wall has decreased below what the engineers determined is the safe operating limit for the tire. What I don't quite agree with is, it seems as though the tire is repackaged and sold as new. This is not good for the consumer.

These are definitely not recap tires which are dangerous enough, but re-treaded old tires, not good. In county like their's where money is scarce, this becomes an option. Thanks for sharing this story. 👎🤒☹🇨🇱🇺🇸

Was very common with truck tyres, but only after carefully measuring the tyre.
We had an electric grooving knife, and not all tyres were suitable for regrooving.
Michelin actually has a manual for this procedure...
