You have INFINITE storage at the Lodge! A safe in your room and the box at the table in the craftingroom in the basement. I put all my resourses, synapse alpha/neura jack aid items and some kind of labcoat in the box so I have all ready at hand when I want to craft. In the safe I put unique items I want to save.

Starfield isn't really a game about space travel, it's a game about finding places to put stuff. We shouldn't have to hack the game just so that we have a place to put things.

I'm still gun shy on any store containers other than cargo holds since losing items on the razorleaf armory crates and displays. I'd still recommend being over encumbered for resources and landing at the lodge and dumping in the room safe.

There's no need to do any of this homebrew. Just make a 30K cargo hauler. Then every time you change ships you lose nothing it all just stays in the cargo hold. And if you want to loot on a ship with overloaded cargo just put all the cargo in your personal inventory. Then you can just change ships back to your cargo hauler and deposit everything again. No good reason to leave anything permanent lying around in your ship. Just do that in an outpost, where you should also have a landing pad with shipbuilder so you can easily swap ships.

Also 30K is infinite enough, but not even as large as you can go.

This bit of info imma share sadly applies to PC players only, but unlike other bethesda games you can actualy bring up the console and change the carry weight of containers with "Setav carryweight ###" with the container clicked on, just like an NPC. I DO NOT KNOW THE EFFECTS IT WILL HAVE ON SHIPS! !THIS IS FOR BOXES! you can also type getav carryweight on them to find out their base carryweight.
Just thought that was weird since its the first time a non npc entity has had AV values like that.

3:32...is there a way to collect storage boxes in your ship {to hold resources and items} ??
or....are we stuck with what the ship has for storage ?

What I've been doing is, stacking up all my stuff, in the basement of the lodge...so far after 4 hours, it remains there, in large piles.

These things aren't true on XBox. I put stuff in an empty room on my ship and in some small storage boxes. When I bought another ship, those items did not transfer to the new one.

Do you only lose stacked items?

**PC master race comes in** Fly into space, open scanner and picture mode, left-click your ship, open console (^ for most of the world, Ö for germanic keyboards), type in *setav carryweight or *setav carryweightshielded to get 100.000 cargo space or shielded cargo space for this ship. You don't even need cargo modules anymore with it and you can even change other storages like in outposts with it.

I absolutely hate this "feature" i have to replace EVERYTHING everytime I pirate a new ship, upgrade, or change anything on a ship. Super annoying. Wish they would make it where any placed items or misc items stay.

Listening for the first time, your speaking sounds robotic or cut-paste, without much variation in pitch or mood.

Does the sentence at 2:15 contain at least 3 sound chunks? Watch your sentence flow- a comma would mean to take a breath, so the pause ought to be a bit longer than between the other words. Also watch out for cutting too close to the word.

Ive had so many item just gone and replaced with junk. Bethesda is still putting out games that have potential for great things but are just really disapointing buggy bs time and money wasting. How do we as gamers, force these huge companies to stop charging for bs games? How do we use Consumer Protection Laws in our favor?

hahahaha, this is wayyyy too much trouble, just make a ship with 200, 000+ cargo capacity like me. ;)
