I Used a CB Antenna on aTOOLBOX.
I can't put up an Antenna at the house I am visiting, so its is time to get resourceful... Using a Toolbox, Stryker 5K Magnet Mount, Top Gun Quad 5 Mobile CB Radio, Uniden jump start pack for a 12v power supply.
I'm getting out on SSB with a good 20 + mile range.

Never seen these radios 🤔🤔. But I definitely like those Stryker antennas . You could also pop up a temporary portable 102 inch steel whip on a 10 foot fence post and a tripod, , etc, ,, like you said, it’s what the hobby is all about, , making it work 👍.

Did this in 2011 before the tower went up. It was inside the house. No problem...when signals are s9+...you talk to what you can hear.

Put your radio and a battery inside the toolbox and you will have a portable roll-around cb station! LOL!

A Mag Loop for a No Antenna Restriction will work ok and increase your power out

Good idea, when i go camping i take my Uniden 980 and a homemade dipole i made with some coax and lamp cord, suprising it works quite well.

Put the Tool Box as close as you can to the Pool, even better run a Earth Lead / Metal / Chain, something into the water and Receive will increase, change Cholerine to Salt Water and even better for Reception

How was the swr? I could see that counterpoise do well on 144 or 444, but not so much on 27 mhz. Good job though. Cool.

Is that a high end radio? I've never seen this brand before.
