This is a thoughtful discussion which gentlemen, regardless of age, should find informative. In recalling our early days of dating and after 49 years of marriage to my wonderful wife there are two specific traits which stood out that I found appealing during our initial times together. One was her work ethic and the second was her ability to treat others with empathy and respect. 

Yes, she was a keen dresser mostly of clothes she made as a seamstress. 
Yes, she had social etiquette, in English as well as in French. 
Yes, (and perhaps due to not having smartphones) we had meaningful conversation.
Yes, we had chemistry from the start, but which grew into our daily fabric. 
And yes, she would always ask to "at least let me pay the tip".

I wholeheartedly agree with your synopsis.. A lady must be elegant in her dress, whether it is a lovely dress with good accessories, or a nice blouse and skirt.. correct shoes for the occasion, purse or handbag, either a sweater or lite jacket for spring or fall weather.. if it is a lunch date, she may be coming from the office, so a nice pants suit is appropriate.. Great advice, but I think that you may have glossed over the most important point. I'm a psychologist, and in my opinion the most important red flag is her relationships with other people. A woman/person that complains, blames and talks poorly about relationships in her life - her exes, parents etc - on the first few dates probably has significant emotional and personality issues that you should avoid. I've encountered countless examples of this professionally and back when I was single.

I do agree with many of the points aoart from the chemistry bit. The issue with it is that many people tend to overlook important things such as are they well mannered and overemphasize the importance of chemistry or a spark which tends to people going into relationships with people who are not right for them. As as result, it would be better to usually go on a second date with someone even if you didn't feel the spark or chemistry because people can get nervous or they may be having a bad day which might result in them not coming across as they're charming self.

Hey man, you have great style, and very high quality content. Not many people are able to make a monologue video and hold the attention of the audience.

In my opinion, the most important thing to look out for on a date with a woman is her desire for you. You can see that in a few things:

1. Appearance (just like you said regarding effort)
2. Conversation
3. How she looks at you.

On a date, I would typically say little to nothing. If the girl is attracted to you, she will make effort to converse with you. If she isn't, it'll be obvious.

If the woman is not attracted to you, the date is a complete waste of time.

One red flag that I like to look for is when you go out to dinner if she orders a bunch of extra stuff knowing that you are the one picking up the check.

Great tips. On the first date with my wife, we had great conversation, lots of eye contact, she was smiling and genuinely seemed happy to be there. We had great chemistry, so it was easy to reciprocate. I could tell she took care of herself and she told me she appreciated that I looked nice and put effort into my attire.
