Unlock The 9 Hidden Games on The Spectrum *PROPER*

No waffle - just how to do it. This is how you unlock the 9 hidden games included with The Spectrum from RetroGames.

Just pause the video and make a few notes - you don't have to watch any footage of the carousel - this is just how to do it without any embellishment or waffle.

This is the video I actually wanted to find when I did a search but I couldn't find it - so I've made it myself!

Here's a list of the extra games that are included with The Spectrum that you can unlock for free.

1. Freddy Hardest Part 2
2. Phantis Part 2
3. Army Moves Part 2

These were revealed by RetroGames on their website in the help section for The Spectrum

Freddy Hardest Part 2 was actually on the B side of the original ZX Spectrum game cassette and required a code to play. This code was code given to the player when they managed to complete the first part of the game on side A of the tape.

These are the rest that weren't announced officially...

4. Doomdark’s Revenge
5. Gilligan’s Gold
6. Hungry Horace
7. Horace and the Spiders
8. Cybernoid
9. Pimania

Note that for Doomdark's Revenge to unlock you don't need to actually play The Lords of Midnight for an hour... if you start the game and leave it running you'll still get the unlock.

If you do start playing then there's a chance you'll play it for more than an hour anyway... it's a great game from an era when gameplay mattered more than graphics!

Mainly because those were the graphics the ZX Spectrum could display. Later games got pretty inventive with the hardware - but that's something I'll discuss when I do a full review and guide to The Spectrum later this year.

If you're disappointed about which games were included and which games can be unlocked then don't be. If RetroGames had paused the release to negotiate using all the favorite games from that time then it would never have been released!
