There are two modes for Engineer:
1) Extreme Boredom (and the shenanigans attached to that)
2) Extreme Panic

There is no in-between.

as an engie main, i can confirm that dying and hearing that beep is if not the most, one of the most anxiety inducing moments of all time

You can walk away and come back and be practically fine, but the moment you die as an engie, is when you know your buildings are getting harmed.

There is no other class in TF2 that waiting to respawn feels as long as it does when playing Engineer.

This is why i always equip the neon or the homewrwcker, not to help the engie but to give spies a pain in the ass that serves as my entertainment

as an engineer main i've been getting so used to having my sentry down that i just roll with it
i just try respawning as fast as possible to change my loadout to frontier justice with gunslinger for one life before going turtle engi again
