Not gonna lie I’d raise on the turn try and semi bluff with hands like Ace 2 or 3

I think devilfish is loosing a lot of value long term cause in normal situation he will have the best hand 98% of the times. That was a clear overbet river. Like 2 or 2.5x pot bet. 17k pot bet

And yes i would loose more chips in this concrete scenario. But long term is more profitable de large pot bet on the river specially when a possible straight hits too on the river.

What a flat call beautiful!!! Most people would’ve punted all their money in with the 3rd nuts especially when the raise isn’t that monsterous at around 1.5 X!!!

What makes it a call instead of a raise is Ulliott’s ten of hearts is a very BAD card to have!

As you block premium suited connectors that hit their flush like 10, 9 of hearts, 10-8, 10-7!!! Also J-10 of hearts also is blocked!


So because the villain couldn’t have these hands listed above to call the 3-bet BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE TEN OF HEARTS everything else that is a baby flush will fold in that spot like 7, 6 of hearts because ALL THOSE LOW FLUSHES WILL LIKELY BE DEAD IF THE OPPONENT HOLDS BASICALLY ANY FLUSH EVEN 10, 9 beats you!!! Also if Ulliott were to 3-bet vs J, 8 of hearts Ulliott could have the nut flush himself which is why any 3-bet after an over bet raise is pretty strong and scary!!! That’s why no worse flush would call his 3-bet as they are scared Ulliot does have the nut flush!!

The only worse hands that would call vs a 3-bet in other words is J, T T, 9 which are both blocked by you!!!

So because Ulliot has the ten of hearts villain could either have a lower flush like 7, 6 of hearts that would fold vs a 3-bet OR a monster like K, X of hearts! Or of course a bluff with the king of hearts!!!
