I'm 25, already producing and mixing, currently learning mastering... and right now I feel I don't have enough time, that I already spent "good years" that can't get back, and when I heard him say "First hit at 41..." It hit me different...
So, if you are reading this, and have ever felt like this, like it's already to late to pursue your dreams, then let me tell you, you are not alone, but you can indeed make it, never hesitate to dream, never hesitate to take the leap, time is your ally, just wait, keep studying, practicing, mixing, painting, cooking whatever it is, just hang in there, YOU'LL MAKE IT!!! I TRUST IN YOU.

As a drummer and piano player for over 30 years. One thing I've learned to appreciate about playing live and recording. A really talented front of house and studio engineer make talented musicians their best no question ! They are the secret hero's in live music.

Really enjoyed the intro of b-roll and audio to logo section... along with the content always but that part almost gave it like an MTV cribs vibe especially with the piano shot in it.

This has to be one of the BEST studio tours you've done! It was impressive and Matt seems like a super cool guy!!

The Minimain 12’s are so insane. The best audio of any kind I’ve ever heard in my entire life by a long shot. They have the vibe of a live music venue but the clarity of a super high end pair of headphones. Not to mention the bass sounds like somebody brought a PA array into a room. I will be in the hole for the next 3-5 years for my pair but good grief is it so worth it.

Hey Andrew. I accidentally found you through watching a soundproof video by a guy named Scott McKenna. He credited you a number of times on his studio build. So, I "liked" your Youtube page, and the first video I watched was the basement studio tour at Matt McClure's house! Loved it!! I'll be binge-watching others all day! My story is, I'm a DJ/VJ of 30 years. I voicetrack an FM Radio show for a Contemporary Christian station in Auburn, Alabama. I did Pop and later Country radio for all but the last 2 years. Matt was referring to people at Opryland Theme Park that I knew. I was in Nashville from 1981-1989 pursuing my drum career, and worked at Opryland Hotel as a Bellman to pay the bills. Anyway, I am building a small 8'x12'studio in my home. My grandfather built this house in 1955 for my parents, and there was NO insulation in the outer walls. So, I took down the old drywall, spray-foamed all 4 walls, and am just putting up the last 2. sheets of 1/2" drywall this week. Underneath the floor, it had already been filled with sprayfoam. Overhead, I've decided to take down the old drywall and 6" of blown-in insulation, and replace it with 2'x2' drop ceiling and lay 6" to 8" wool insulation panels on top. This also gives me access to correcting old and running new electrical, security, internet, and speaker wiring that I could not access before. My question is, have you assisted in building or have you toured a studio for radio DJ's that is simular to my situation. I'd love to see those videos. Thanks.

Awesome video! Yes Chicago back in the day was THE center for jingles, there were places / studios all over, Paragon was a huge one. Big ups to all the Atmos / Dante users trying out different technologies. And those old MCI JH-24's while awesome, those red 8pin dips are a real pain to replace! If you know you know :)
