Zelenskyy Hands Out Awards on Air Force Day

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated military aviators and handed out awards on Air Force Day, celebrated on the first Sunday of August.
"Every destroyed Russian plane, rotorcraft, and missile, every task completed by the Air Force is a saved life of our citizens," Zelenskyy said, before handing out posthumous awards to widowed wives.
"I am sure that the day will come when we can say that our Air Force of the Armed Forces has become not only one of the most combat-capable in the world but also one of the most modern and technologically advanced," the Ukrainian leader said.
