I swear these games gave me the weirdest and wildest emotional journey starting at Royal. I started these games with an extremely pragmatic and nihilistic view of life cause well...not to get into it, bad childhood. Futaba's palace hit really close to home, that's all I'll expand on it.

Royal managed to break through that shell I'd built up. Went to Golden after the fact, 100% completed it and my god it helped me realize what I value in life.

Reload just made me appreciate so freaking much about my life. I still have regrets and gripes of course, no game can fix ALL a person's hang-ups in life nice as that'd be. I don't know where it happened along the line, but I swear these games managed to turn me from a nihilist to a jaded optimist. Always gonna appreciate the stories they told.

i mean it when i say that this song litterally keeps me going every single day, i was going through the lowest point of my life when i discovered this game and it made me go from wasting every day and being depressed 99% of the time to actually wanting to live a proper life while i still can, the energy and lyrics of this song resonate with me on a very very profound level because they remind me of my new "ideals" for life (which, ever since i committed to them, i genuinely feel so much more free and happy with myself and where i am in my life at the moment), this song is really motivating and almost comforting to listen to since im going through such a big turnaround in my life and it really makes me feel like im ready to face anything and get through it, no matter how tough life's going to get. thank you persona 3 <3

I want you to imagine yourself as someone who just got this game. You have no idea what Persona is, but you thought the game looked cool so you picked it up. When you got home, you put the disc into your console, booted it up, and was greeted with this masterpiece of a song along with a fully animated intro. You are now completely devoted to the series.

Makoto is an inspiring protagonist and I feel like I need to live my life thanks to him. I have been wasting my life fighting the beast that is depression and poverty, but I wish to change thanks to him.

Spoilers ahead for those who didn't beat the game.

Now I am probably not going to be agreed with, but Makoto and his story is tragic to me. His story to me involves a depressed teenager who was completely willing to die, but never wanted to instigate it himself. SEES and fighting shadows was merely a dangerous thing he could do that also helped others. If he died, he did it trying to help.

But then he makes friends. Makoto discovers that he has friends and even people he could call family as he continues his journey. He discovers that he doesn't want others to die and he loves the people around him. Over the one year he has, he makes so many friends and even loses a few, but he makes an impact in their lives. He finds a reason to live, and it's for those around him.

When the final battle occurs, he realizes what he has to do. He does not want to leave. He has a reason to live, but he also realizes that he will lose all of his friends if he doesn't. He sacrifices himself so that those most important to him can live. He finally succumbs to the death that he chooses but only after he gains a reason to live.

Long winded, but it is so tragic to me. I sobbed and felt depressed after the ending. I'm going to fulfill my dream. I'm going to find a better place to live in japan starting as an english teacher. I'll inspire my students to do the best they can and help them see that life is wonderful. I'll then move to voice acting and enjoy the rest of my days in peace. I'm going to college next semester to get my english degree. Makoto inspires me not to waste any more precious time.
