Another great song written by the great Bob Dylan!

That 12 string guitar changed rock and roll for the ages.

In high school in the mid 60's. What a fantastic musical time to be a teenager. At the time we didn't realize how special it was.

Exactly, you know it’s a hit from the intro . the Byrds turned Dylan’s song into a more happy and carefree hit.

This may have been their first time on national TV. A good reason to smile. The Byrds helped fight back the British Invasion. 🙂 ☮🧡🎶

Short and sweet. They were soooo young. Keep all this love alive. Keep bringing it forward to all your peers in your generation.

Summer of '65 this 12 year old took his pocket money to my usual record store to hear the latest records, this record blew my mind, especially Jim McGuinn's 12 string, they became my favourite band & still are!

Recognize the second guy the camera focused on? That's David Crosby, later part of legendary group Crosby Stills Nash & Young. He worked with basically every 60's artist of the "Laurel Canyon" days. Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, Cass Elliott, James Taylor, David Gilmour etc. And proclaimed often that his very favorite singer, of all time, in the entire world, was Bonnie Raitt. And he fathered 2 of Melissa Etheridge's children, with her then wife, Julie Cypher.

It seemed almost like every week from '64-'69 there was a new artist with a new sound and new look.

Growing up in the 60's the song brings back memories of such good times. Remember the bell bottoms and turtleneck shirts and love beads.✌

The lead singer, Roger McGuinn, was named in the Mamas and Papas song ‘Creeque Alley’, ‘McGuinn and Maguire (Barry) were just a getting higher in LA, you know where that’s at’. Gene Clark wrote one of the Byrd’s classics ‘Feel a Whole Lot Better’

Yes it was a different time. And it was a much better time.

Love this band and this song since it came out in the 60s.
Desperately wanted to wear colorful Byrd Glasses, but needed prescription glasses.

Love the reaction and you should do Dylan's version (more verses). The Byrds covered a lot of Dylan and were HUGE as one of the first Folk Rock bands. That's David Crosby (in the poncho on the far left) from Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

PART II 😁 YES!! When a song "Takes you back"💖 AND you've never been that is a great achievement for that band! ☯️☮️
