Mr Tambourine Man THE BYRDS (with lyrics)

Easily the biggest hit for US band The Byrds here in the UK (they only had one other Top 10 hit here) this one made the #1 spot in the summer of 1965. Written (of course) by Bob Dylan .... but you knew that! The words were always infuriatingly difficult to remember - so I've put the lyrics up so's you can sing along.

The Byrds' performance of any Dylan song they recorded were gems! Dylan is still one of our greatest rockers but the Byrds outshone him here!

Mid 1960s, me mid-teens. ... Such a gathering burst of talent were the classic Byrds. So much so that they burst apart into other incarnations. Sad, but oh the blaze of glory when they first performed and created all together. They still resonate down through the decades hence.
