I think it's amazing how RGG was able to retroactively add 0 to the timeline and have it fit so well. It truly comes off like Kiryu's experience with Tachibana was canon all along and in large part shaped him into the man he became, same with Majima and his story as well.

At the end of the substory the Banana Bar closes and the OST "The only way out (Guitar)" starts playing.
Fans of the series know that OST only plays in extremely sad moments, meaning Kiryu really wanted to work at that Banana Bar.
