I'm trying to get into curling my hair and this video was very useful. However, I do have a couple of questions. What is the difference between a curling wand and a curling iron? Does a curling iron damage your hair over time of you don't use a hair protectant?

I have hair that's pretty much the same length as yours. My absolute favorite length! I'm a big wand fan...I never mastered the art of using a curling iron because I always feel like the line is very visible from the prong.
