5. Start at Mid-length of the hair rather than the end

How do you stop your hair from getting caught in the hinge? I burned myself so many times trying to do this method. I'd get 3/4 of the way through and it would completely get jammed. No matter how loosely I wrap it, it either won't let me pull through anymore, or it gets snagged in the hinge and rips hair out!
