I'm 64. Nearly two years ago I started eating less than 20 (not net) carbs every day and a good 30 minute workout at least twice a week. My testosterone levels have more than tripled. Blood flow is so good that I've rediscovered what I means to be libidinous again. Haven't been on BP or any other medications after about 3 months in.

a lady died over here in the UK during the winter attempting to do a cold plunge in a body of water in a local national park. She didn't know it, but she had an underlying heart problem. Getting a clean bill of health is probably best before doing this. Looks fun though. I'd def try it

This thing is pretty cool, but the price tag is off the charts. If I were made of money, this would be great. But I retrofitted a 15 ft.³ freezer with a filter pump and a few other add-ons. I have less than $800 into it, and it’s five years old. Water is 35 to 37° all the time.

I tried a proper cold plunge for the first time the other week, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Once you get through the shock and pain of the first 20-30 seconds, it becomes bearable. Was much easier than a cold shower.

NEVER do this first, but it REALLY makes a difference to get you whole head wet. Most of the body's heat sensors are where you wrap a scarf/put a hat. However: going into ANY cold water head-first is basically an invitation for a stroke.

LOL, there is no way I can help from at least an extended yelp. I'm impressed.
I built a diverter valve that pipes in 35° refrigerated water into the shower. I love the ozone part.
Keep chasing that chill Mike!

My daughter acclimatised via a scrubbed out local Council wheelie bin(😂) filled with cold water and ice and she swims in the local lake. I get into the North Sea as often as I can....and do cold baths or showers. Done this for many years. It is so exhilarating and it really helps deter inflammation for me.

I used to fill my bathtub with 4 bags of ice and some cold water for 10 mins. I hated the during part. The tip of my johnson would hurt. But i loved the feeling after.

Thermal parties? I think we need some video.

I wish I could afford one of those. I’m hesitant to put buckets of ice in my bathtub. I’m afraid I’ll get hypothermia or burn my skin somehow.

Honestly, looks good but at 23k it’s completely redundant. Go and buy a chest freezer for a few hundred and it can get lower than 23 degrees. Plug it up, put it on a timer turning on and off ready for you. Better yet, just go for a swim in the ocean first thing in the morning in winter. It’s free and you replenish your body minerals in minutes

Looks like a great cold plunge. The question I have is that you seem to be more comfortable with it every time you go in. A few years ago you did a cold plunge and you were shivering and could barely talk. So if it's getting easier for you, isnt your body adapting also and not having the same benefits? Just wondering thanks

Anything below 40 degrees is very hard to do! Nice

Amazing!!! And don't under estimate the power of a cold plunge for "a minute"!

Very impressive, Mike! I've been looking into them. Are you going to the Biohackers World Conference or A4M? I'll be there, among other biohackers. Cheers. Brian

Is it good to dip your head during the cold plunge?

I dread cold showers. I used to do them several times a week but the anxiety before doing it got to me. yes I felt great after but it was the before that consumed me. I never found a way to really deal with it and just stopped doing them. Any tips on how to get over that initial anxiety? I'd like to try it again.
