How to change screen sleep and screen lock timeout on Android 11

How to adjust screen timeout and screen lock timeout
First to change screen sleep go to settings.
then tap on display
tap on Advanced
Tap on screen timeout
Select how long you want your phone to wait inactive before the screen turns off.
I will choose 2 minutes.

Now to change the screen locktimeout go back to settings
Then tap on security
Tap on wheel icon next to "Screen lock"
Then tap on "Lock after screen timeout".
Here you can select how long you want your phone to wait to lock after screen timeout.
Let's say 30 seconds.

This means that the screen on my phone will timeout after 2 mins of inactivity.
Following that it will wait another 30 seconds before it locks.

Thank you. My Android 11 was in a bit different place (settings->lock screen->secure lock settings->auto lock when screen turns off).

I don't have the same Screen Lock setting on my Samsung S20fe updated to Android 11. My lock screen times out at 5 seconds with no way to adjust it. It's driving me crazy. I can adjust the sleep time no problem.

This video is outdated for most. Samsung is always changing menus or removing features with every new Android update. Flashing back to Android 10 seems to be the best way to go.

in android 9 on moto g6 the auto screen lock is called "automatically lock". you will not find it in "screen lock" or "screen saver". i was looking for this for ages.

Do note that the lock after screen timeout setting can be found on android 12 as well, under settings -> lock screen -> Secure lock settings -> auto lock when screen turns off
