I grew up wearing ‘hand me downs’ and my children love getting items from others. They have got to the age where they are more considerate of what clothing they like so we dont do it so much now.

One in one out. I keep saying it but never stick to it. I’m going to step that up.

What great advice! We always declutter before birthdays and Christmas.
When we declutter the kids stuff I always ask them, “What do you have that you are ready to let go of to go the next kid?” Now my daughter will randomly bring me a toy or garment and tell me that she wants to “give it to the next kid” because she wants to make them happy and she no longer uses it.
