Elon Musk’s Neuralink: The Future of Human Brain Power

Imagine switching a light bulb on using only the power of your mind. Or being able to instantly speak a different language without ever learning it. Sounds like something from a sci-fi movie, doesn’t it? But one day – in the not-too-distant future - this could become a reality.

In 2016, Elon Musk founded Neuralink with the aim of “developing ultra-high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to connect humans and computers.” Or, in other words, implanting tiny computer chips into people’s brains to improve their quality of life!

In theory, by connecting an electrode to an individual neuron, it is possible to modify what signal it sends – and even send signals back! But it will take time. Human brains contain around 86 billion neurons, so – if past trends are to go by - it could be another 200 years before we’ve successfully mapped every single one.

Whenever it does happen, one thing is for sure – our lives will never be the same again…

If it's for health purposes, like being able to get the paralyzed to walk, then sure. However, if it's purely enhancement, or just to be able to connect to the net with our mind, then no.

People already have difficulty putting down a cellphone when eating, like it was part of breathing. Not to mention security purposes, since we know for a fact that government officials, as well as others, track our search and other data.
