If there's anything you take away from this how to, ALWAYS use a lot of package protectors, like bubble wrap, and a box that is more than big enough. You don't want the console to get damaged when other boxes are piled on top of it.

A great tip from user The Real Deal, who's been selling video games for 5 years now, is to never let controllers, games or cables touch the game console. It's much safer to individually wrap each item in bubble wrap.

Also remember to always use clear tape!

As for the dimensions of the box for the Playstation 3 and Xbox Original, it has to be a bigger box than one that’s: 12.5' 10.5' x 8.5'

For an Xbox One, you’ll need a box bigger than 13.1' x 10.8' x 3.1' (dimensions of the console).

That's decent packaging but some of those systems could still arrive scratched, cracked, scuffed or damaged in some way with the right mailman throwing it around. You should never let controllers, games or cables touch the game console, it's much safer to individually wrap each item in bubble wrap. I've been selling video games on ebay and amazon for over 5 years now.

not to be too critical, but I strongly suggest anyone watching this video to use WAY more protection than is suggested. Way more. Those flat rate boxes are not resistant to shocks/drops/dents, etc. The PS3 in particular is notoriously fragile during shipping. Having only one side of the console protected with a thin layer of bubble wrap while putting a ton on the sealed side is not going to cut it. You have to suspend the console in cushioning on each side in a way that the package feels like a solid brick and does not move at all with a shake test. USPS is not going to be gentle so you need to package these things like you are going to drop if from an airplane. I know not everyone can do this, but I've learned to save all of my original packaging for consoles in the event I sell it at a later time because those packages are *designed* to ship, and then you suspend that box inside another box.

You should really look in to using priority regional boxes, potentially saving you a ton of money vs flat rate.
