The friction points in placing a surgical airway are 1) making the decision to do it, 2) identifying the cricothyroid membrane, and 3) getting a tube into the airway. In this video, you will see a sneak preview of how to use 4 different surgical airway devices. This video is an excerpt from the Complete Tactical Casualty Care Surgical Airways section, which is nearly 1.5 hours of in-depth training: a review of the surgical airway literature, discussion of device options and necessary equipment, as well as step-by-step instructions on how to safely and successfully complete a surgical airway.

Great video! I love this channel and reading articles on the website I also follow you on Instagram. I have a question, in an extreme situation In the wilderness if someone for example has an anaphylactic shock and you can't clean the airways can you perform a crycothyroidotomy? And what can be use as a tube for example?
