I caught this while Christmas shopping a little over a week ago. It started off feeling like a flu or a head cold but quickly changed into something else. I became extremely dehydrated, could not eat, my uvula broke out in sores and breathing became more difficult. Because I have type 2 diabetes, I ended up having Ketosis and dangerously low potassium levels.
I am currently at the hospital in ICU and I'm improving. I'm so glad I'll be home for Christmas 🎄

This virus is absolutely awful. I have not been this sick since I was a child and I'm 43. It took me two weeks to stop coughing and stop feeling close to death. My heart goes out to anyone that has this.

RSV was a really bad cold that went through our family, until our then-2mo old caught it. He spent three days in the hospital and it left him with Overactive Lung Disorder, lung damage which won't heal until he's school age. Any respiratory virus or infection has put him on a nebulizer and inhalers, and his doctor has told us several times, "the regular flu will hospitalize him again". Yet our nephew had caught it a couple of years earlier when he was 6mos old, given his parents one stressful night at home, and just had a bad cold otherwise, with no lasting effects. It's not a virus to take lightly, but you never know what you're going to get with it 🤔

28 years old, and this hit me Wednesday. It is horrible, day 4 for me I feel slightly better. The first 3 days were hell. Felt like the first time I had covid before the vaccines.

My dad caught covid 19 in 2020. He just found out he has rsv and pneumonia. He has been sick for 3 days. He isn’t vaccinated, I wonder if him having covid 19 before increased his chances of getting rsv in 2023 . I hope everybody who reads this and also battling rsv gets well soon ❤!

Who is asking the question concerning what percentage of those contracting RSV are "vaccinated" with the covid vaccine?(Or in the case of infants whose parents were vaccinated).
