This is very helpful. I always like to research disease cases instead of relying on news misinformation.

My son had RSV, and almost died! Several babies did die during his hospitalization, may they rest in peace", 🙏🌹

On Thanksgiving evening, 2022, my throat started getting really dry, my voice was getting very "croaky" and I was extremely tired. The following morning, I felt worse and this hung on for about 3 weeks. Throughout this process, I was pretty much bed-ridden. I never had a fever, but extremely congested ALL the time. The worst part was that my lungs felt like they were FULL of cement. There was so much mucus and crud in there, but it was so thick that it wouldn't come up, despite my efforts to breathe in steam, drink Robitussin DM, exhale deeply and hold it, etc. I couldn't stop coughing day and night and I could feel the thick mucus getting caught on something in my throat, I presume my vocal chords maybe? I'm a pretty stubborn 45 year-old man, who doesn't like to run to medical facilities, so I stayed home and self medicated on nyquil, ibuprofin, Vick's vapo-rub and LOTS of water and didn't get a firm diagnosis. About a week into this, I got really frustrated with not being able to get anything out of my lungs, just repeated dry coughs. I coughed so hard that I actually must have damaged my vocal chords, because I couldn't get out more than a whisper from that point forward and my voice didn't come back normally, until the end of this past January. My voice was out completely for about 5 weeks, then it would come and go mid-sentence for about another 2 weeks, before I began talking normally again. It was hard for me to work or go anywhere, because I was so embarrassed at not being able to talk and, at one point I thought I did permanent damage and may never be able to talk again lol. I laugh, but it was pretty alarming having all that stuff in my lungs and then not being able to talk for so long. At precisely the same time that I came down with this, my mother got Covid. My Uncle brought me a bunch of Covid home tests, a few different varieties. I took one of each variety of tests, maybe 5 total tests over the first couple weeks and they all came out negative. I heard someone talk about their experience with "RSV" and it sounded very similar to my experience. I have a VERY robust immune system, always have and I rarely catch any of the common colds/flus that other people go through, so this caught me by surprise and hit me harder than anything I've experienced, at least in the past couple decades or so.

Why does your body produce so much mucus with RSV?

This virus took my mom at 89. She survived COVID-19 but not RSV.

I'm 30 years old. Had covid back in August and just recently contracted rsv. While covid was miserable, rsv has had me bedridden for 5 days now. Having to call out of retail work during black Friday week has been hard but I feel like I'm dying! Oxygen levels at urgent care were 90%, no fever but felt like I was breathing through a straw. No breathing issues with covid. Had 3 covid vaccines and just got my flu shot a little over a month ago. Rsv definitely effects more than young children/infants.

i have sore throat and nasal problems, cold chills, lung problems and breathing problems, fatigue, no fever, no coughing, for 11 months now. it is very frustrating, since its getting worse a little slow step by step. no one knows what it is, still cant find a source. i am always tired and sleepy, used to be extremely active and used to train for 2.5 hours per day, 7 years in a row, now i cant train maybe 1-2 a week, and i feel very weak this whole year and my saliva is draining all day long. ever day is an agony really, i hope no one else is feeling like i do, bad yet undeserved. if anyone had a similar experience, please do share. have a good day everybody

Thank you! An infant w RSV might develop asthma later in life. There is an evidently causal relationship between respiratory syncytial virus infection and asthma.I wonder why….

Majority of babies that die from RSV are premature or have BDP.

Cover your head and ears - it is coming through agitating the ears this time because people are focused on covering only their mouths.

@ 3:05 water and fruit juices are prescribed by the narrater. Sugar will add to the problem because it's inflammatory. Breast feeding mothers would benefit by growing and eating broccoli sprouts/microgreens (consume a handful a day) for the isocyanate, sulforaphane. It's known to help with asthma.
