The best answer for this debate of Consoles VS Emulation is a statement "Im limited by the technology of my time."

You can Emulate and still Collect Games

Emulation is better and it cuts down on the clutter if you have a massive collection.

Getting a flashcart or a softmodded console is always the dream for me, especially if you add stuff like RGB mods. Biggest issue is the cost, especially if we're talking about flashcarts, and if you already have a beefy gaming PC like me, emulating stuff can be just as good.

I'm on "Team Emulation" lol. While I'm not against playing on original hardware at all, I just like emulation better because you can upscale everything. PS2 games upscaled to 3x or 4x native resolution makes them almost look like a remastered or remake version and are absolutely beautiful! I know you can get a FreeMCB and RetroTINK for the PS2 console and upscale games that way but that RT is like $750, geez! I can upscale them to 1080P on my gaming laptop and currently have access to 1200 PS2 ROMs on my external hdd at the drop of a hat lol. IDK, for me, it's just the more practical and economic way to go and I'm having a blast doing it!👍

Man, you said it all in this video... I would like to have all the hardware, but being expensive has it is, emulation gives me the answer I need. And seeing how much games are being lost in time, having roms on a hard drive is the perfect answer. I myself am buying sd and memory cards one after the other in pursuit of storage to keep as much as I can... keep doing the good work you're doing man...

I do both, got a retrotink 5x pro hooked up to PS2 and was playing that last night. I also own an Odin 2 filled that thing with so many games and also play that often.

Here in Europe a lot of older games prior to the 7th gen were not properly optimised for our 50hz PAL TVs. It's hard to justify collecting inferior versions although many games do play just fine. I tend to emulate for the most part but I try to import American or Japanese versions of games I really love.

Emulation for me. Especially being able to mod to have stable 60fps framerates on the classics in HD!

I got into emulation beacuse of you man. Have never looked back. After seeing No Mercy and OoT emulated I was hooked. Not to mention the mods. What a rabbit hole. I can't thank you enough.

I’m all about emulation. I move periodically for work and live overseas. It’s difficult to get original hardware. Now collecting is a different story, I would love to collect. Great video!

If I never wanted to play gta 3 I would have never come this channel. You're awesome and helped me so many times with other emulators

Once PCSX2 got REALLY good hood with QT nightly build i finally made a backup of all of them and packed up my pS2 games. Just the fact you can make most of them render widescreen and in better resolution is enough for me to never use real hardware again

Love your content my guy. Keep the good work. Just sub'd!

Idc what anyone says emulation at least for me is such a convenience. I mean I get it physical arcade hardware and consoles are cool for the time they were made, but having thousands of awesome arcade and console games at my finger tips is way better (for me) then collecting arcade machines and consoles. Its not like we can take them with us when we die - so might as well have fun with them however you can with whatever process allows.

Older games up to 6th gen are better played on emulators, but the 7th gen upward is best played on the consoles or PC, depending on which ports are better.
