A source tells ET Prince William feels Prince Harry has 'crossed a line' with his upcoming tell-all memoir, 'Spare,' out Jan. 10. The source adds that the royal family thinks Harry's revealing of 'private' details is 'inappropriate' and he's gone about dealing with it all in the 'wrong way.'

I tend to think Harry is targeting his father, Camilla., and the "institution", because of what they did to his mother. Sort of coming to her defense/rescue, on some level. I think he has always felt in William's shadow, thus THE SPARE...and has some deep feelings coming up about that, too.

I find it really telling at that all the reaction I have seen from British and Australian press has been outrage over that fact that details have been shared NOT about what he has shared about his experience. His coming forward and being willing to share so much detail is not only exposing the institution but the culture of the UK press and certain portions of the population. It's interesting to watch.

I tend to believe the Institution feeds the press stories that elevate certain members of the family at cost to others. Those members who are benefitted by the stories are complicit by their silence. Harry is entitled to “his truth” and to put his truth out there. If the Institution would shut up, there would be no need for this back and forth.
