My workhorse happens to also be just a mid-priced guitar. Once I got it and realized just how good it was, I stopped buying guitars altogether. Now I have three: The workhorse that plays everything without fail, the acoustic for power outages and Luddites, and the old guitar I never use but provides me with too many good memories to get rid of it.

That cheap one reminds me of a Jackson strat copy I had in 2012 that was old then. HSS and when plugged into an Orange amp I played thru at the time, it sounded pretty dang good w MXR Carbon Copy

Dude back in highschool I used to jam with this buddy of mine who’s dad had TONS of guitars and hands down. To this day. The best sounding electric I’ve ever played was this 70’s era peavey Stratocaster copy that his dad bought for like 90 bucks when he was a teenager. It was so warm and crisp. Lord have mercy what I would trade to have that guitar.

There is a guitar that I miss really bad. I owned it for only a couple of years. It was a Washburn USA Dimebag Darrell Southern Cross. The only problem was it was too nice to play.

"cheap one that has no right" I STILL heavily play the Hamer my parents got me 15+ years ago. Intonation is great, very comfortable neck. Absolute workhorse for what they paid.

I almost agree. My list is a super strat with floating bridge and 24 frets, a telecaster type, a Les Paul type, a stratocaster type, a semi-hallow body, and an acoustic.
