Top 10 Animals That Love Being High

These bizarre animals have developed a taste for toxic substances, drugs, alcohol, and poisons in their quest for intoxication. In the animal kingdom, survival is a constant battle, and some creatures have developed rather unconventional strategies to cope with their harsh environments. The video sets out to explore the bizarre behaviors of these animals that have, in a curious twist of evolution, developed a taste for toxic substances, drugs, alcohol, and poisons as a means of intoxication. While the video takes a comedic approach to these behaviors, it also highlights the fine line between survival and excess. These animals have evolved to have unique tolerances for the substances they consume, but it's a delicate balance. Consuming too much can be lethal, and the video uses humor to underscore the risks they take.

While the video takes a humorous approach to these behaviors, it also provides valuable educational content. Viewers not only get to laugh at the antics of these animals but also learn about their biology, habitats, and the challenges they face in the wild.

Fun fact, some elephants will actually take fruits and put them into hollow trees to ferment on purpose, coming back to them weeks later to get drunk as shit.

Nothing makes you feel more connected with the tree of life than being a teenager getting high with your friends and finding out that teenage dolphins also get high with their friends

I used to work with a guy who told me about his Dad growing weed and having to not only fence off his gardens in the wild (he did it organically in nature) but constantly having to check on the plants due to rabbits, deer, other wildlife trying to eat the plants. Animals know what’s up! Lol. Great video regardless!

The black lemur just reminds me of king Julian from Madagascar wanting to party and "move it, move it". Makes so much sense now lol

Fun fact, amanita muscaria is not extremely toxic, nor are the hallucinations extremely intense, probably considered one of the least psychedelic of the psychedelics

I always appreciate the "Sam O'Nella" style of content about facts and stuff. The use of simple yet unique drawings as a form of demonstration makes the content stand out from other fact-channels.

Brilliant. Sub well deserved.

It's impressive how addiction is a sickness since it affects not only humans but also animals

My childhood dog, I've lost last year (I'll see you again buddy)absolutely LOVED eating the slowly fermenting plums in our yard. We always tried to pick them up beforehand, but he was just crazy for them and would find them anyway. Every fall, we had to look out for him, so he wouldn't become drunk, but it never seemed to harm him. We always liked to joke, that even dogs would love a little buzz.
A few years later a storm took care of our plum tree, so he couldn't eat them anymore.
And last year, we sadly lost him at the ripe year of 15, which is quite a lot for a Border Collie.
I miss you buddy. And I hope you can get as drunk by fermenting plums as you want, where you are right now.
One day, I'll join you with a cup of mead, my best bud ❤

Excellent work man. Sam o Nella's academy has taught you well 😄

I'd also add elephants to the list. There's been many reports of elephants in India breaking off and drinking sugarcane, not realising the juice inside fermented badly in the sun. These drunk elephants stumble into human settlements, where they cause huge amounts of damage, and its even been reported a couple of deaths too. Fun times!

The bee one is actually really interesting when you think about it. They understand and have a sense of community and would banish or kill any workers who try to bring in fermented pollen understanding the damages to even the collapse of their colony. So its similar to us humans when it comes to sanctions we impliment.
