Thanks for your info. The Ric 620 is my favorite guitar and I've owned 360's, 330's and 12-strings over the years that I've sold, but always kept the 620. I've had great success with Hipshot tuners on my Gretsch, and like them very much. Good to know they have a non-UMP replacement for the 620, but after years of experience, I don't find locking tuners any better for tuning stability than string lock winding, but the convenience of locking tuners can't be beat. My 620 came with the silverface knobs, but I purchased a trapeze tailpiece to replace the 'R', only because it looks a little more retro to me. Thanks for the video. :- )

I, ve had mine for 10 plus years and just tried a Toaster in the neck position. All I can say is TRY IT!! I was amazed how well it worked. No mud and a clear clean bass sound.
