I encourage you guys to trust your instincts, if your gut says call Sheriff then do so. You never know what you may find that can help close a case - even the poor dead pup is connected to someone or some event that might lead to others of more significance. It could be a person and their dog down there. Ringing the sheriff is the only think to do because you just never know. Even the pup was let go in there, it needed reported. Great job guys.

People need to realize the the water ways are not their private dumping ground. These people have NO respect for anything at all.

I’d call in for the dog; the chunks of possible flesh is concerning too but from what is obvious, the dog was deliberately put there. It’s very unlikely that the dog wrapped itself in a blanket and jumped in the river so ringing the local police would have been smart because they probably know who to look for in regards of ownership of the dog.

You definitely should have called the law about that dead dog and the flesh found in the river. Especially when you find a gun. That could've been a weapon used in a unsolved murder case.

Just found out my cousin was found dead in Benson yesterday morning. I’m so sad and shocked that all I could think of was watching you for a few minutes to take my mind off of things. You don’t know it, but you’ve comforted me through several of the worst events of my life—mostly when my dad died. Hope you had good holidays—and that your new year is off to a good start.
