A little suspicious that a class analysis theory is pushed back during the Cold War. Where the USA was pushing for Capitalistic Economies (which are inherently classist) and extremely anti Communistic Economic theory (which is inherently anti-classism). I think Charles Beard did a great job addressing American economic interests

Beard went to UK for graduate studies and picked up socialism before returning to the US. this is basic historiography and common knowledge, at least at Texas university programs in History....

Most hard core libertarians acknowledge that the Constitution is a document justifying government power. Notice however, that no progressive/socialist criticism of it ever considers the basic premise wrong; that individual sovereignty is to be trumped by the notion that a group can have more rights than individuals. The only difference between our Constitution written by rich white guys and a constitution which progressives think they want is whether society is based on the representing the economically successful or the representing the economically unsuccessful.
