Democrats Divided Over Bipartisan Infrastructure Plan
Показать описание
Today, President Biden acknowledged that his party is divided after he officially endorsed an infrastructure spending deal reached by a bipartisan group of senators earlier today.
The deal he approved significantly scaled down many of his initial proposals and slashed investments in transportation, roads and bridges and water. Biden's climate investments have also been pared down, which progressives were pushing for. The plan also calls for $73 billion to upgrade power infrastructure, including building and establishing a new grid authority, while the original plan would have invested $100 billion. Human rights activist and artist Bree Newsome Bass joins "Prime with Charles Blow" to discuss the topic.
