In this video series, I will explore skinning the Grey Fox, and in my opinion, the prettiest of all the Fox species! This is another mount from my past that I am looking to recreate ... the first and only Fox I ever killed ... in fact it was killed about a half hour before my one and only Deer ... are you seeing a pattern here?

This particular specimen also presented a few problems that needed to be overcome, namely, three of her four legs being severely fractured ... compounded breaks, no less. There are some good lessons in this video series, including making a death mask, seen in Part 3.

As with the Otter, I will pose and freeze the carcass in its chosen position - after repairing the broken legs - make a plaster mold of the same, then create a 'pressed-clay' casting, to be modeled into a clay reproduction of the carcass. This will then be further refined and detailed to create a new mannikin for the Taxidermy industry.
