Technically because Max Married a Jacobite who’s a descendent of James the second, a line that was made illegitimate due to the glorious revolution, he shouldn’t be able to do this. HOWEVER he’s found a loophole: they got married at a Protestant church. Because the line was removed from succession due to The Jacobites being Catholic, Max forcing his partner to be married as a Protestant is restoring the legitimacy of the line! Therefore not only is Max now a royal by technicality, his partner might actually become a real royal!
