Cursor ai - is great - still you need to know basic code - to know how to creat effective prompt - but coding is 10x easer than 3 years ago

These new editors are really cool. I heard of an open source editor like this where you can even run a local LMM. I would also prefer a version that works without internet. (We don't have internet on trains for example)

I have some knowledge in coding but not enough to come up with a working code in my head - I need to look up every line of code. But at least I can find those correct code snippets, functions and whatever needed and I can read the code and am able to fix some bugs (with a litte luck). Using Chat-GPT is a huge help. But this software here? This is convoluted, unintuitive and complicated as fuck. How would somebody without coding knowledge be able to even know what they are looking at?

impressive, but im still think its complex, you need to know alot how these apps work and what to ask, if you dont then it will be a mess
