“Not hitting more greens, but missing the greens in the best place”, excellent! I like that advice.

I picked up a golf club for the first time 3 months ago and shot a 160. I have been playing 5-6 times per week since and today I shot an 87. 2 days ago I had never shot below 100. I shot a 90 yesterday and an 87 today. The biggest things I have practiced recently have been chipping and putting. If you can hit 8 fairways off the tee per round you can do pretty good. One of the biggest things that I’ve done to help my iron play is to have a slow back swing and loose hands. Also having a level head is important. I shot a +3 on the first hole today and still shot an 87. I wish anyone reading this the best in their golf career.

Have been watching your videos for quite some time. Breaking 90 is typically my goal so that series is typically what i follow. I’ve been feeling good about my game lately but it just hadn’t been being reflected in the scores. A bad drive, a chunked/blocked approach shot, a poor chip put a lot of bogeys on the card. Today it all clicked and I shot an 80. Your tips on club selection, knowing where to miss, and what to do when I got in trouble really helped eliminate those big numbers from the card. Keep the quality content coming!

As a low-teens handicap that's trying to take a step forward this summer, getting myself in the headspace to think constructively/confidently about the coming shots instead of overanalyzing and dwelling on previous poor shots is increasingly becoming a pretty central struggle. You don't say anything I don't already know, but you do put it all on such clear display! it's really great to see you highlight the recovery in this round, as the "well, this round's a wash, let's just screw around from hole 5 onward" mentality is the biggest hurdle of them all at times.
So yeah, thanks for highlighting that!

Also, love the "planting feathers growing birdies" polo!

Planting feathers growing birdies!
Can’t wait to get out to the golf course this week and implement some of these ideas and even then I’ll just smile if I don’t break 85 because waddaplaya waddalife mentality is the best mentality

Just bought some of his shirts and hats. First game in the new shirt and shot a career low 😎 can’t wait for his putter to come in!

I broke 80 for the first time yesterday thanks to you. You are exactly right about playing the same course many times. It seems that when you play a course over and over you take out so many variables that doing well is just down to you hitting well that day.

Planting feather and growing birdies!
This channel has revolutionized my game, it was almost all mindset! left the driver out of the bag and shot the lowest of 91! I planted a feather just for matt on the green and the players behind!

Planting feathers, growing birdies! Two take always for me, the first 4-6 holes are warm up… and a 15 handicap can only expect 4-5 GIR! I play off 15 handicap, so I’m going to be much less hard on the first few holes, and looking for the best way to get up and down from green side! Thanks again playa!

Great videos on the psychology of success in golf. Would be great to see one on the importance of both having, and being, a supportive partner in your group. The positive reinforcement you were giving 5'9 was notable.

Can't have Christmas without a snowman 😂 that's my new favorite golf quote, hopefully won't have to use it too much.

I thought I was trying to break 100, but after another lesson with my favorite pro I'm heading to break 90. We had some good chat about the idea getting the tea shot in play. I told him about using a reliable 7 or 5 iron and he encouraged me to use a hybrid or wood maybe the driver. When I'm in play without a penalty, a par or bogey is possible.
But the most important thing I learned from your videos is the JOMO concept. Thats why I could see the course with different eyes now. This stress free approach really improved my game. Also thanks for the recommendation of Dr. Bob Rotella. I listen to him regularly.
Hope to see you some day in germany. I'm in sweden and denmark in July what are your planned stops in europe?

Another excellent video thank you. I have to remember to tell myself "I presently struggle with" instead of "I can't do this". Like anything else the mental game is dragging me down.
