Honest to god? The original texture looked more visceral, bloody. It fit the themes of the Nether really well and I quite liked it.

I might be one of the only people to say this but I prefer the old texture. It holds so much nostalgia for me, the whole point of the nether is that it’s supposed to make you uncomfortable. It’s not meant to look nice, and the old texture really for the vibe

I want both textures. It would be cool to have netherrack have the old texture on the outside, but after a few layers it becomes a bit smoother, as if the outer netherrack was becoming rougher because of the atmosphere or ghasts or something.
