I want to convince my parents to get it. My parents are strict about social media. I can get any forms of social media (except YouTube) until I’m 18. I’m very mature, probably the most mature person of my friend group, and yet the only one who isn’t able to get it.
I know companies also look at information about you on social media to determine whether or not you are a good employee. If you have nothing, then that could draw them away from and thus, you may not get hired. (And I want a summer job for experience)
I want to get it badly because I feel pushed away and left out from the rest of my friends who have social media. And, I can connect to friends who I haven’t seen in a while.
I know my parents have their own feelings and opinions about social media and I respect those, which is why I will both respect and strike down those claims with evidence.
